Wedding Music Gold Coast
Born and raised in Byron Bay, Ben Walsh has performed over 1500 shows with his solo music and pop project Velshur across 7 different countries. His debut single reached number 10 on radio in Virginia in the U.S. He’s also written music for fashion brands like MiuMiu and Oroton.
Benny continues to be diverse releasing his own retro rock as a solo artist, and release dance funk pop with his band Velshur.
“What I love about private events is that I can be quite varied in genres.. it can go from acoustic music to 60’s rock to 90’s R&B when I start DJ’ing – it all depends on the audience and what I’m being booked for. That’s what I love about doing wedding music and wedding DJ gigs. Diversity. I travel a lot for all sorts of music and DJ gigs but really enjoy doing the wedding music on the Gold Coast.”
In addition to playing weddings and private events, Benny is filling his schedule recording and collaborating with producers for both projects between Los Angeles, San Francisco and Berlin. He frequently performs on the stages of the local venues in Byron Bay and surrounding areas such as The Northern and The Beach Hotel.

Benny’s debut solo single She Gives Me Love was recorded as a collaborative effort with award winning producer James Nagel in San Francisco, California.
The song debuted at #10 on college radio in Virginia and was spun on rotation nationally across college and non-commercial radio in the U.S.
Bloggers L.A On Lock said “Love the melody and vocal tone” and Music Crowns said the song is “filled with hypnotising bass-lines, relentless saxophone playing and catchy guitar solos.. perfect for Walsh’s voice to thrive in.”
